CMM Engineer | Carrickfergus

CMM Engineer (Quality Engineer)

Carrickfergus, Antrim, Belfast

£28-£33K depending on experience + various Benefits

Days: Mon-Thurs 07:00am- 15:15pm and Friday 06:00am- 13:30pm

Full time permanent role

Our client is an established engineering / manufacturing firm that has been going for over 30 years, are based in the Carrickfergus area and are been a well-known as a secure local employer. As a company they supply to some of the top names across the world. Due to business demand, they are now seeking an experienced CMM Engineer to join their experienced team.

The role of CMM Engineer (Quality Engineer):

• Using PCDMIS & Calypso software to generate CMM programs for the production floor
• Using PCDIMS software to generate scanning programs (CMS106 Laser scanning probe)
• Defining and establishing part inspection processes that are cost effective and meet all quality requirements
• Training quality technicians in interpreting new & existing CMM programs dimensional reports
• Ensure all critical CMM spares are available in order to upkeep daily operation
• Changing and improving processes to increase productivity and competitiveness

Essential Criteria for the role of CMM Engineer (Quality Engineer)

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, creating PC-DMIS & Calypso CMM programs
• Relevant educational qualifications
• Strong communication skills and a good work ethic
