Job description
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Management Accountant to join our clients senior accounts team. This is a demanding role and our client is seeking an individual to take responsibility for the management of the day to day finances along with implementation of improved reporting and robust systems as the business grows rapidly. This role will report directly into the Finance Director.
Responsibilities of the role will include (but not exhaustive):
Monthly Management Accounts
- Prepare full accounts including cashflow/balance sheet
- Variance analysis
- Departmental Budgets
- Forecasting & Budgeting
- Commercial monitoring and reporting
- Develop annual budgets in coordination with various departments and managers.
- Create financial forecasts to assist in long-term planning and goal setting.
- Implementation of new nominal reporting structure to support growing information needs
- Cashflow monitoring
- In depth reconciliation of Client Account money flows

Qualification / Experience / Skills Required
- Ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or at final examination stage
- Excel – expert user, must demonstrate ability to build own spreadsheets and be proficient with formulae i.e. vlookups/if statements/pivot table
- At least 5 years’ experience of working in a Management Accountant capacity for a small business (up to £5mil t/o)
