Job description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Cornwall, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 12 month contract on a salary of £50,952/annum. This role will be based onsite in Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise significant experience in past delivery of programme management to design, lead and sustain a new programme of transformational change.
- Plan and lead a range of complex activities to deliver large scale change, taking in to account, uncertainties may impact upon the strategic direction of the programme.
- Oversee the process mapping of existing pathways and make improvements to ensure they align with the new EPR system.
- Identify and document benefits that will be realised during and after change implementation.
- Utilise advanced IT skills to assure delivery of the programmes and write progress reports and formal presentations for stakeholders as required (including external stakeholders).
- Deal with complex situations and analyse and report on highly complex data as required.
- Provide in depth analysis of highly complex information in order to identify opportunities for transformational change.
- Contribute and, where required and agreed, lead on the development of strategic documents for submission e.g., Outline Business Case, Full Business Case.
- Measure benefits realisation following change completion and complete complex audits to verify outcome-based results.
- Monitor and manage financial budgets and resources. Co-ordinate procurement and deliver excellent financial management of the programmes.
- Design, develop and deliver training programmes to teach staff digital transformation skills and techniques.
- Manage programme team members ensuring that the team is motivated to deliver a diverse programme. Provide leadership and training to team members.
- As a leader, interpret central guidelines and wider health and government policies to incorporate them in the improvement programme.
- Support the operational and clinical teams in quality and performance improvement by implementing and leading sustainable change across the organisation.
- Be conversant with organisational developments and able to access support that organisations can offer to help us move forward.
- Constructively challenge behaviours that hinder change or do not support the strategy and values of the organisation.
- Improve the organisational culture.
- Identifying solutions to overcome barriers to change and evidencing improved outcomes from changes implemented.

- Champion others to make the changes and embed them and having an innovative approach to identify opportunities and ways to get others to support change.
- Attendance at team and programme/ project meetings.
- Provide cover for colleagues as appropriate.
- Undertake any other duties requested as appropriate to the banding.
- To participate in an annual individual performance review process where objectives will be agreed, performance monitored & personal development needs discussed
- Act responsibly in respect of colleague’s health, safety and welfare, and following safe work practices, and complying with the organisation’s Health and Safety policies.
- Adhere to all organisational policies as applicable.
Essential Skills:
- Masters degree or equivalent experience.
- A proven track record of extensive senior management experience
- Significant experience in delivery and evidencing programme management (deemed to be Masters level.)
- Demonstrate freedom to act with sole accountability for programmes. Is able to define and document strategies for the organisation and the wider system.
- Experience of business planning and preparation of business cases.
- Demonstrate assertive leadership skills.
- Experience of being responsible for the interpretation, development and implementation of policies to deliver high quality services across the whole organisation.
- Extensive experience of change management and highly developed knowledge of practice development and service development across a range of services and systems.
- Experience of negotiation and influencing others.
- Experienced in producing business cases and other senior level documents.
- Able to monitor and manage budgets. Able to co-ordinate procurement and do financial management of the programs.
- Leads on Transformation programmes and manages programme team members. A proven track record in motivating and running a diverse team.
- Able to audit own data and lead complex audits of programs.
- Proven ability to problem solve and to achieve change, whilst at the same time balancing operational demands. Ability to concentrate on complex project monitoring whilst responding to sudden unexpected demands.
- Ability to work across all sites, as required.
Desirable Skills:
- Managing successful programmes
- Experience in the delivery of a digital Transformation project/ programme.
- Experience in process mapping and re-design of clinical services/ pathways.
- Experience of delivering teaching and/or training sessions to a variety of audiences, on a range of topics.
- Experience of encouraging diversity of thinking as a means to promote positive change and fostering commonality.
- Experience of working with Quality Impact Assessment processes.
- High level IT skills.
- Negotiating and influencing skills.
- Able to teach and deliver core and specialist training on a range of subjects.
- Co-ordinates internal and external stakeholders and influences the planning process.
- High level verbal and written skills.
- Ability to deal with complex situations and able to analyse complex programs.
