Job description

What you will do in your working day

• You will undertake your apprenticeship as part of a team of business analysts, working alongside experts in designing services, user experiences and content
• You’ll develop your understanding of how effective business analysis contributes to the delivery of the digital strategy. You will undertake training to be able to carry out research, analysis and redesign of services and apply service-oriented thinking to technology, organisation structures, processes and capabilities
• You will also help with testing prototypes and new products, documenting results and working with solution developers to fix and improve

The training you will be getting

Firebrand’s sector-leading Level 4 Business Analyst (L4BA) Apprenticeship Programme develops apprentices to work across the full lifecycle of the business analyst in either a Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid environment.

Apprentices will develop skills to allow investigation into business situations, modelling of business processes/data flows, gathering of requirements, definition gap analyses, consideration/mitigation of risk and the capability to develop impact assessments for change.

Firebrands course is delivered either Online (online live instructor led), or face to face in the classroom environment (your choice). Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Learning Mentors (LMs) and world-leading trainers prepare apprentices to work across multiple sectors.

Completion of this apprenticeship will provide learners with the following world class vendor certifications in addition to the Business Analyst apprenticeship:

• BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis
• BCS Practitioner Certificate in Requirements Engineering
• BCS Practitioner Certificate in Modelling Business Processes
• BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice
• BCS Level 3 Award in IT Service Management & Business Processes

• Role of the BA
• Investigation and Elicitation Techniques
• Process and Data Modelling
• Stakeholder Analysis & Management
• IT SLA’s and SOP’s
• Agile Business Analysis

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship the candidate may be considered for full-time employment, though this is not guaranteed. However, the experience and training will be a great foundation for a rewarding career in business analysis.
