Stock Team Leader

Location: Canley (CV4 8DA)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Day shift (08:00-16:30), with flexibility required to cover holidays on AM (06:00-14:30) or PM (14:30-23:00) shifts
Salary: £28,000, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme

About the Job

As a Stock Team Leader you will co-ordinate effective stock control and placement procedures. You will be responsible for the implementation of our Storage and Stock Excellence principles, both in the physical processes and through the WMS. You will manage a team to ensure excellent customer service and to drive operational excellence, ensuring agreed SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved ensuring customer satisfaction.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

  • Co-ordinate activity in managing stock risk, reducing stock liability and financial impact.
  • Co-ordinate a team of Stock Management Operatives to deliver and continually improve on agreed quality, cost and delivery targets.
  • Ensure all activities have relevant and up to date SOPs in place, reviewing these to actively pursue the elimination of waste through continuous improvement techniques.
  • Work alongside the Site Management team to manage Stock KPIs and contractual SLAs.
  • Explore and promote any initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and analyse accurate and robust daily, weekly, and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor and improve performance.
  • Promote flexibility within the team through skills training and personal development.
  • Manage customer expectations to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental standards are maintained.

About You

  • Proven administration skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and commitment to achieving team and site objectives.
  • Quality focus
  • Proven problem solving skills.
  • Experience of Stock Management
  • People management experience would be advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of goods inwards processes is essential.
  • Prior knowledge of Data Analysis, as well as use of SAP, WMS, or similar software
