The Business

We are currently working with a small but credible and established business who is embarking on an accelerated growth trajectory. As a business they have high value but low volume customers which enables them to deliver an uncompromised service. Their aim is to support their customers objectives and growth through long term mutually benefit partnerships. The MD has recently appointed a new Chairman, and currently strengthening the leadership team with new roles to the business to support the planned growth, and in essence recruiting for the future of the business with this vacancy of Head of Finance / Finance Director.

The Head of Finance Job

This position will work incredibly close with the new Chairman and Managing Director and provide guidance on all financially related matters whilst also producing and presenting the monthly management information, supported by a transactional accounts assistant. You will support in the contractual agreements of new customers and provide financial modelling and forecasting of new business to retain and maximise profitability of new customer contracts. With that in mind part of your role will also be to review all current customers to understand profitability by customer and product offering. The business is currently refinancing in order to fund the resources of the planned growth, but in the future within your role it may be necessary to secure external funding in order to maximise growth potential.

Salary and Benefits

This really is a key appointment for the Managing Director, and as such the full package details are negotiable for the right candidate. Your basic salary will ideally be circa £65,000 but with bonus, holidays, working hours, days, long term incentives all up for negotiation to secure the right person.

The MD is not in a rush to make a decision in haste, and has someone in post on a contract whilst he is seeking this permanent hire, so long notice periods will not hinder your application.

The interview process will be as much an interview for them as it will be you, as he is keen to ensure the position is right for the successful candidate to ensure longevity in the appointment.
