Fully remote in the UK available.
As a Gameplay Programmer, you’ll be a key player in our team, working alongside designers to bring amazing gameplay experiences to life. Our programmers are passionate about their work, and with good reason; they’re involved in every aspect of gameplay engineering, from mechanics to animation, from UI to physics and VFX.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new gameplay features in collaboration with other developers.
- Develop and maintain tools and systems to help designers create missions and build complex gameplay mechanics across multiple genres.
- Produce and maintain clean, reliable, and efficient code that meets high standards.
- Create and manage documentation and functionality tests to ensure the best possible player experience.
- Contribute to code reviews and collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Optimize and debug code to create smooth and enjoyable gameplay experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a gameplay programmer or in a similar role.
- Ability to adapt to different game genres and platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Unreal.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Understanding of algorithms and mathematics involved in gameplay.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A passion for playing and developing games.
