Test & Development Technician (Electrical)

Your dream role:

o Prototype build and commissioning.

o Investigating and resolving faults using CAN analyser.

o Resolving wiring issue through to creating bespoke harnesses.

o Using supplier’s diagnostics to interrogate their systems.

o Working as an individual or as part of a team part of the team

o Carryout necessary mechanical tasks to achieve the required work task.

o Analysing CAN systems with Can based diagnostics (Vector, etc.)

o Work with suppliers to trace faults in the inter-connected systems.

o Harness and plug/pin fault identification

o Bespoke harness creation working from suppliers’ information.

o Prepare vehicle for testing.

o Install instrumentation and data logging systems.

o Conduct tests in and around Farnborough or at a suitable test facility

o Collect results and give feedback as requested by the T&D Engineer.

o Proactive, showing initiate and ownership (Find, fix, and report a problem).

o Seek solutions to technical issues by working with T&D and Engineering staff.

o Working closely with suppliers through installation and testing.

What you will bring:

o Vehicle test environment

o Experience with instrumentation types and application.

o Ability to learn and use laptop-based data logger software and diagnostic tools.

o Vehicle/drive line construction, commissioning, and use.

o Highly technical and a hands-on approach, including workshop skills.

o A PCV driving license would be desirable.
