Thornwood Capital is a fast-growing investment firm specializing in the trading of collectibles. We pride ourselves on our expertise in identifying and acquiring high-quality collectibles, specifically Pokemon Cards. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Collectibles Trader to join our team.
As a Collectibles Trader at Thornwood Capital, you will play a vital role in our day-to-day operations, actively seeking out and negotiating the acquisition and sale of valuable collectibles. You will be responsible for building and maintaining an extensive network of collectors, dealers, and industry professionals to source and evaluate potential trading opportunities. In addition, you will be expected to stay updated on market trends, changing consumer preferences, and emerging collectible items. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of investments and expand your knowledge within the collectibles market.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential collectible trading opportunities
- Research market trends, historical data, and other factors to determine investment potential
- Negotiate the acquisition and sale of collectibles with clients, collectors, dealers, and auction houses
- Develop and maintain relationships with collectors, dealers, and industry professionals
- Keep abreast of changes in the collectibles market and adjust investment strategies accordingly
- Conduct due diligence on collectible items to ensure authenticity and value
- Monitor and report on the performance and valuation of collectible portfolios
Requirements
- You must be passionate about the collectibles market and have some experience in buying and selling collectibles.
- This is a consulting contract, so you will be paid a small salary and be allocated capital to invest and trade. you will have a revenue share on the trading activity that you perform. the more money you make trading, the more money you make for yourself.
- We offer flexible job structures. You can do this part time or full time; we are open to both structures.
