If you are an experienced Support Worker/ Healthcare Assistant looking to expand your skills and knowledge into complex care or if you already have complex care experience, this could be the perfect job role for you!
We are looking for compassionate and committed Support workers/ Healthcare Assistants in Bury, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one and two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Meet our Service user
Our service user is a cheerful young boy in his early teens who lives with his family in Bury. He has highly complex care needs and requires a care team to support him 24/7 on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis.
He has a brilliant sense of humour, he is very cheeky and loves the interaction from his care team, family, and friends.
On weekdays he attends school, and his care team will accompany him and support him with all his clinical needs whilst also supporting any social activities he may attend.
When at home he enjoys watching TV, playing games on his iPad, being out in the community and generally having lots of fun. Weekends he enjoys spending time participating in various activities, some of his favourites include attending the park, and going to the cinema.
Throughout the night you will be supporting with all aspects of his routine including, observing, and monitoring him whilst he sleeps, ensuring his wellbeing and clinical interventions are always managed appropriately, supporting with his personal care and repositioning.
It is important to understand his methods of communication and identify his wants and needs, he is non-verbal and communicates using Makaton and facial expressions. Patience and understanding area key qualities for this role.
It is essential that applicants have experience of complex care and have experience of working with children and young people for this position.
Our Ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence in handling complex and challenging situations with composure and empathy, as at times his care needs can become quite intense.
We provide an in-depth training programme for all his clinical needs which is led by our highly skilled Registered Nurses.
Your hourly rate will start at £11.50 per hour (Days) with set increases based on successful completion of the training programme – See breakdown below.
We are also currently paying a welcome bonus of £150 for this position.

Full Time Nights - minimum 3 shifts per week
Take a look at our pay rates
Weekdays: £15.00 per hour (£187.50 per 12.5-hour shift)
Weeknights: £15.50 per hour (£193.75 approx. per 12.25 hour-shift)
Weekends: £16.00 per hour (£200 approx. per 12.5-hour shift)
Bank Holiday: £18.00 per hour (£225.00 approx. per 12.5-hour shift)
