We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Learning and Development Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the career paths, skill development, and growth of our employees. The successful candidate will partner closely with department leads and ensure that all team members have clear career paths within the studio, development goals, and the necessary support to achieve them. In addition, this individual will play a critical role in assessing and optimizing the learning processes within the studio.
Key Duties Include
- Career Path Development: Collaborating with department leads to establish and maintain clear career paths for employees, identifying key milestones and growth opportunities
- Individual Development Plans: Working closely with team members to create and implement personalized development plans that align with their career aspirations and the studio's goals
- Performance Appraisals: Supporting department leads in conducting performance appraisals, offering guidance, and ensuring fair and constructive feedback
- Learning and Training Programs: Assess the learning needs of the studio and design and implement training programs, both internal and external, to enhance skill development and knowledge transfer
- Learning Technologies: Stay updated on the latest learning technologies and recommend their integration to enhance the learning experience
- Mentorship and Coaching: Facilitate mentorship and coaching programs to support employees in their professional development
- Learning Culture: Foster a culture of continuous learning within the studio, encouraging knowledge sharing, workshops, and skill-building activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in Learning and Development, Talent Development, or a similar role within the gaming industry or a related field
- Strong understanding of game development processes and the skills required in the gaming industry
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with team members at all levels
- Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning platforms
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective training programs and workshops
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify learning needs and measure the impact of development programs
- Passion for gaming and a deep appreciation of the unique challenges and opportunities in the industry
