Job description
Edward Reed is supporting a well known northeast Consumer Goods business in their search to find a new CFO. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO is pivotal in driving the strategic growth and development of the business. As a private equity-backed business, the CFO is the vital link between the Business and Investors in driving transaction value.
Requirements:
- An ambitious, driven and commercial individual who thrives in a high growth, e-commerce environment backed by PE Investment
- Confidence in their ability to influence value and build towards a strong and well-orchestrated transaction point
- Experience in communicating with Stakeholders, skilled at leading the business and clearly able to articulate the drivers for growth
- Skilled in appraising opportunities and risks in the business strategy, advising the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team with accurate and informative data
- Skilled in the creation and analysis of high quality management information to enable decision-making and strategy formulation which positively impacts EBITDA
- Fluent in defining and articulating the business model and providing strong, credible evidence which supports the growth story, in order to create confidence
- Close to the detail and across high quality delivery of the basics –able to take the basics into the strategic decision making process.
- Able to strike the right balance between stewardship and strategy when leading a team
- The skill to both protect against value leakage, while achieving value creation through a strong and attractive investor story
- Ability to drive the business, maintaining focus on core operations and identifying the areas which deliver value at transaction point
The person:
- Ambitious, driven and commercial
- A motivational leader experienced in managing and developing a finance team
- A strong team player, able to adapt to work with people at all levels both externally and internally in line with our values
- Strong commercial awareness and key negotiating skills
- Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- A forensic approach to detail and accuracy, whilst able to apply this to the bigger picture
