SEN Teacher

SEN Teacher – Bexhill – June 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The SEN Teacher will work collaboratively with other educators, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique learning requirements of students with special needs.

Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:

* Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to create and implement effective IEPs tailored to each student's specific needs.
* Design and deliver instructional activities that accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with special needs.
* Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, adaptive materials, and technology to enhance learning experiences.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages active participation.
* Work closely with educational assistants, support staff, and other professionals to create a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Requirements needed to become a SEN Teacher:

* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
* Passion for inclusive education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have relevant teaching qualifications (teaching degree with QTS or equivalent)
