Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Transport Administrator to provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department at our Heywood site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 09.00-18.00 (40 hour week)
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Key Duties of a Transport Administrator:
- Administration and data entry to maintain the Company’s systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations
- Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers.
- Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks
- Dealing with driver and customer queries
- Creating Driver run sheets
- Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system
- Scanning pods into the TMS
- Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner
- Carrying out any other formal and legal duties
- Record keeping
- Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur.
- Carry out Driver licence checks
Qualifications
- Previous experience within a Transport environment would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in a busy and demanding environment.
- Computer literate and have a good understanding of MS Office applications.
- Able to work well as part of a team in a busy office environment.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and manage their own time effectively
