Job description
Our Client, a successful manufacturing business in County Down/North Down, wishes to recruit an experienced HR Manager. This is a new, permanent HR Manager job, and an exciting opportunity to lead positive change and transformation for this highly successful business.
The successful HR Manager will be stand alone and enjoy full autonomy in driving HR processes, policies and people initiatives.
Working closely with the leadership team, the HR Manager will play a key role in providing support and guidance on all people related issues and queries.
A strong production/manufacturing sector background is key, and the HR Manager should also be experienced in managing day to day HR issues, adopting a hands on, passionate and engaging approach.
The Role
- Create and develop a learning and development strategy
- Provide training, coaching and support on HR policies and procedures
- Deliver effective recruitment, selection and retention solutions
- Manage employee administration, maintain records and produce timely reports
- Complete weekly and monthly HR reports and KPIs
- Monitor and assist Managers in the application of the attendance management policy
- Review performance management
- Monitor and support employee relations issues
- Carry out project work as required
The Person
- 3rd level qualification
- Associate CIPD, or working towards this
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ HR related experience ideally within a small to medium size business.
- Experience working in an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisory capacity within a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong change management experience blended with hands-on day to day transactional skills
- Knowledge of NI Legislation
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to function in a multi-task environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and passionate about HR
