Job description
A primary school in Rotherham is looking for Teaching Assistants to give support to small groups of students. You will be working on either a 1:1 or 1:2 basis to help students with additional needs to progress with both academic and social aspects of their school life. The school itself has specialised and experience staff that work with all ages.
For this role, you should: • Have school experience working within a support or teaching assistant role • Have experience working with SEN students, preferably those with ASD • Have a Team Teach qualification or have experience working with young people with behavioural problems • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication, both between you and staff and you and students • Be flexible in the way that you work, both in and out of the classroom. The role will be full-time and long term. You should have an enhanced DBS on the update service to be put forward for this role, but you are able to apply for a DBS through Protocol Education if your application is taken forward.
