We are looking to hire a Finance Manager to be part of our Project Accounting Centre of Excellence team. The Finance Manager will act an Individual Contributor and partner with the Senior Leadership based in EMEA and APAC.

Ou r Project Accounting Centre of Excellence is a global team leveraging global presence to manage project accounting activities across the varied businesses within the Clinical Research group in a manner that is sustainable, accurate, consistent and scalable. This is alongside providing insight, guidance and commentary on variance analysis so that stakeholders have the information that they need in a consistent and reliable format.

Summarized Purpose: 

The Finance Manager role will work as part of the global team to progress time sensitive close deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.

Close deliverables are focused on revenue recognition using a variety of methods and systems in accordance with individual business policies and associated unbilled\ deferred balance sheet entries and analysis.

The role will act as a key subject matter expert on complex and high data volume reconciliations and be able to resolve variances timely and effectively while also providing support to junior global team members on issues they may encounter.

The role will ensure that reconciliations and analyses are available in various required formats to swiftly address internal and external audit requests for a variety of locations and legal entities.

This role will also manage or be a key contributor to special projects including: historic analyses, user acceptance testing for systems enhancements\ modifications and go forward process optimization\ changes.

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and Professional Accounting Qualification
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).
• In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Excellent Proficiency in problem solving and prioritizing

• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and as part of a global team

• Strong knowledge of accounting/financial principles and best practices, knowledge of revenue recognition on long term contracts is an advantage

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data

• Good business acumen

• Strong presentation skills

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to multi-task and handle pressure

• Previous internal project management experience
