Regulation Lead
Here's what you'll be doing
The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current npower Business Solutions & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulation Lead to join our team. For this role you will advise Industrial and Commercial (I&C), on compliance with regulatory and industry obligations, interpretation of requirements and associated regulatory risk and the input to projects and initiatives. You will have a proactive working manner with excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (based in Solihull or Leeds) approximately 1 day per week.
Key responsibilities
- Provide internal briefings, translating new or amended licence and industry obligations into what they mean for the business.
- Develop efficient and co-ordinated communications channels to and from the industry and within the appropriate areas of the business, in respect of industry change and compliance.
- Represent I&C externally including with key regulatory, industry and consumer stakeholders.
- Lead on promoting the interests of the customer in respect of industry and regulatory facing activity, aligned to E.ON Standards of Conduct.
- Directly support individual customers through provision of regulatory and industry expertise, as well as customer facing stakeholders where required.
- Ensure the interests of the customer are at the forefront of all industry and regulatory interactions, ensuring that Standards of Conduct are adhered to.
- Ensures provision of market technical expertise and advice to support customers either directly (face to face) or indirectly.
- Review I&C marketing material and external correspondence.
- Manage industry code performance issues to ensure internal stakeholders are made aware of all relevant industry code performance issues and responses are sent to external stakeholders as required.
What we need from you
- Significant understanding of the electricity and gas markets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the technical and commercial arrangements contained in the associated Industry Codes and Agreements.
- Good knowledge of the gas and electricity licence obligations with which we must comply, in addition to industry processes.
- The ability to engage and influence senior business managers and stakeholders.
- High professional standing, with the ability to influence both internal and external bodies for the overall benefit of the business.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills.
