Job description
Job Title: Category Manager (6-9 Month Contract)
Location: West Sussex (Mostly Remote, Onsite every Monday for meetings)
Pay: £500/day
Responsibilities:
Negotiation: A skilled negotiator with a broad range of skill sets.
Analysis: Skilled in being able to conduct analysis on complex data sets to provide concise insights.
Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrating the ability to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
Leading and Managing Others: Strong project leadership and management capabilities and experience, with the capacity to manage multiple small and medium-sized projects.
Change Management: Understands change management and process improvement with experience in supporting business process/organisational change.
Strategy Delivery: Experience in delivering and implementing category and sourcing strategies, delivering strategies for various sub-categories.
Requirements:
Public sector procurement knowledge/experience - creating new Open, Restricted, and ideally DPS and Framework tenders/contracts.
Knowledge using GCloud, Govt Marketplace, and related DPS/Frameworks.
Local (or Central) Government experience.
Primary category areas will be IT, Telecoms, FM, Transport (Coach/Taxi), Print, Marketing, Catering.
MCIPS qualified procurement professional/working towards MCIPS.
