Job Description
Summary
I am a 25 year old male on the Autistic Spectrum with learning/processing and memory difficulties. I struggle with anxiety, depression and insomnia.
I live with my father and step mum in Eastbourne.
I have a job and I’m kind, friendly and helpful.
My interests include history, particularly military and aviation. I enjoy going to shows and military museums. I also enjoy gaming, playing poll, watching films/documentaries, making up lego and spending time with my dog (spaniel). I am currently learning Japanese.
I would very much enjoy having support to access and attend the cinema, clubs, dog walks, days out at shows.
I need support and encouragement to become more independent with everyday tasks e.g. personal care, changing my bed, grocery shopping, collecting prescriptions and attending appointments. Support also required to help me gain confidence in social settings.
Experience of Autism and/or learning difficulties is important and the ability to keep me safe and supervised in the community.
I would like a patient, understanding and reliable support worker.
Driver with own car required. Reasonable mileage when taking me out will be reimbursed.
You will report to my mother who will be your employer.

• Support and encouragement with domestic tasks e.g. changing bed
• Accompany and provide support to collect prescriptions, grocery shopping, getting hair cuts and other appointments.
• Support with accessing and attending the cinema, clubs, taking dog for walks and days out.
• Help with building confidence in social situations.
• Using your car to transport me
