Graduate Teaching Assistant – High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Position are to start – January 2024

You must have a current DBS or willing to take one out.

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with small groups of students or 1:1 with any pupils who are struggling in a larger classroom environment. You will be expected to use verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques for dealing with challenging behaviour or struggling pupils. Have a strong focus on teamwork and communication, to foster supportive working practices and recognise the needs of distressed individuals

Teaching Assistant Criteria:

Graduate or qualification in child care/education
Previous experience working with children in a TA environment
Good education background (GCSE’s in Maths and English)

Teaching Assistants

Learning Support Assistant

Experience:

Previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, helping within a nursery, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting. However, this is not crucial – Graduates with no experience are still welcome.

A strong educational background is required for these roles including GCSE’s in Maths and English (C or above).
