Autism Practitioner
Location: Grantham
Start Date: Immediate Start Required
Salary: £75.00 – £95.00 per day
GSL Education are currently looking for an
Autism Practitioner to work at special needs school in
Grantham starting as soon as possible. This role is suitable for someone who is residing in the UK and have valid right to work here. You must have an
enhanced DBS (child workforce) registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Responsibilities may include: - Being prepared to respond appropriately in emergency or crisis situations involving students with autism, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborating with teachers, special education coordinators, and parents to develop and implement personalized individualized education plans for students with autism.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students both in the classroom to address academic, social, and behavioural needs.
- Implementing strategies to support effective communication, which may include using visual aids, social stories, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
- Organizing and leading social skills groups or activities to help students improve their social interactions and relationships with peers.
