Job Title: Group Food and Beverage Manager
Reporting To: Director of F&B and Hospitality
Location: Split between field-based travel and our central London head office
Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility as needed
Main Functions of the Job: As the Group Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and financial performance across our food and beverage operations. Your role will involve implementing strategies, managing stakeholders, and mentoring venue teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Across Disciplines:
Group Level Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with the Director of F&B to provide business updates and insights to the board.
- Manage central F&B functions and liaise with other departments for seamless operations.
- Analyse commercial data to improve offerings and identify trends.
- Lead the assessment and implementation of new F&B systems and software.
Financial:
- Set budgets and review forecasts in coordination with Head Office and venue teams.
- Monitor operational performance, focusing on labour management and operating margins.
- Guide venue price setting and support benchmarking activities.
- Oversee equipment and provide input into capital investment plans.
Guest Perspective:
- Ensure exceptional service standards across all venues.
- Monitor guest experience and refine standards for quality control.
- Review dish presentation and monitor customer feedback for improvement.
Operations:
- Manage operational F&B teams and conduct audits and mystery shopper exercises.
- Review venue sales performance and develop action plans for improvement.
- Implement cost controls and oversee training for venue managers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety regulations.
Insight and Innovation:
- Drive F&B initiatives and footfall across venues in collaboration with sales & marketing.
- Identify industry trends and work with brand partners on marketing initiatives.
- Support culinary and mixology teams in menu innovation and technology utilization.
People and Culture:
- Develop high-performing venue teams through coaching and team building.
- Foster a positive culture and support employee engagement.
- Implement training and development programs for staff growth.
Required Skills:
- Experience in multi-site management with strong P&L management skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with EPOS and restaurant reservations software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages and willingness to learn new software.
