Position Summary:
This varied senior role will see you involved in the process and product development of different manufacturing technologies as we move into manufacturing. You will be involved from the early stages of manufacturing, right through to test and inspection. You will work closely within the tight-knit engineering team and liaise closely with management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The responsibility for the validation, calibration and testing of on-site equipment within the factory setting.
- To act as resolver to Problem Management in event of quality failure, leading Root Cause Analysis Teams where appropriate and agreeing Corrective/ Preventative Action (CAPA) where relevant.
- To identify areas of risk to Quality across Services, ensuring they are captured and escalated as required.
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained to ISO 13485.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment as required.
- Shop floor data collection / NCR / Root Cause Analysis.
- Production Inspection / fault finding / Problem reporting / Scrap Repotting.
- Generating QC drawings / BOM's / Routings / QC Inspection Reports / Test Specifications.
- Monitoring and maintaining works order documentation / BOM's & Routings.
- Monitor and maintain customer and supplier returns system and procedures.
- Overseeing, monitoring and maintaining New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change (ECN) systems and procedures.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Awareness of ISO Standards such as IS09001/IS013485.
- Excellent understanding of process validation, process control and statistical control in electronics manufacturing techniques desirable.
- Exposure to Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Process Design.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of QC standards, systems and procedures and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and visitors.
- Able to work with schematics, BOM's and other manufacturing drawings and ideally have a knowledge of electronic and / or mechanical principles.
- Must have experience in using CAD.
Preferred Qualifications / Education:
Minimum HND or BSc Level Qualification in an engineering discipline
