We are currently seeking to recruit a Teacher of Economics (preferably with Business) to join our highly effective team, with potential for future advancement opportunities.

Economics is a popular and highly regarded A Level subject within Thomas Telford School. Candidates should have excellent subject knowledge and an outstanding track record of achieving excellent results in the subject. Candidates will be enthusiastic about the subject and embrace our commitment to deliver an outstanding curriculum as part of the vision and values of the Business Academy. The successful candidate will be able to teach Economics to A Level (Edexcel A) as well as Business or any other related subject.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, professional teachers to join our state of the art Business Academy. You will join an outstanding, highly supportive team and have the opportunity teach a wide range of academic and vocational courses including Business Studies and Economics and integrate our work with an excellent school-based Careers Team. As we develop our qualifications in the changing Level 3 academic environment, this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who wishes to also develop leadership skills within the team in the future. Interest or experience in any of the related areas to Business Studies is also welcomed. We are driven to develop the student’s employability and professional development skills and have developed a qualification to support this. We work strongly with local and national businesses and universities to provide the Business Academy students the very best opportunities and experiences. We provide for a large Sixth Form of 630 students with very high levels of participation in the courses that we provide. Our Business Academy is the pre-eminent provider of Business, Economics and Finance related courses in the region with career progression and CPD always under consideration for our team members.
