Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As Project Manager, you will lead projects within the Fusion Technology Facility (FTF), located at the Advanced Manufacturing Park, Rotherham. You will develop and manage robust projects plans, ensuring resources are well managed and projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope. You will execute projects to a high standard according to established project and technical management processes. You will need to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and be commercially aware as well as build relationships across the division and organisation.

The role will require onsite working 3 days a week as a minimum.

Additional Responsibilities

- Efficiently manage project resources, roles, and responsibilities.
- Evaluate and present decisions that secure the benefits the project is tasked to deliver.
- Resolve and overcome obstacles creatively to achieve strategy goals.
- Facilitate clear communication and define project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure all project activities are undertaken in a systematic manner with a Systems Engineering approach at the core of the technical solution to project objectives.
- Maintain project documents in compliance with UKAEA Quality Assurance requirements.
- Ensure that Health, Safety & Environment culture and working practices are in alignment with the UKAEA standards.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements

- Project and/or programme management qualification e.g. APM PMQ, Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes.
- Track record of delivering complex engineering projects and/or major work packages to budget, time and cost.
- Passion for ensuring good project management practices and culture.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make sound economic decisions that maximise project value.
- A pro-active approach to safety, with good appreciation of UK compliance requirements in design.
- Good knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations 2015.
