We are excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Network and Leakage Strategy Leader within our Wholesale Water directorate.
This dynamic and strategic role plays a pivotal part in shaping delivery targets and monitoring the implementation of Southern Water's strategy to achieve Business Plan Targets.
Your contributions will be instrumental in the ongoing development of strategies to meet evolving economic and technical requirements, ensuring the program stays on target.
You will also represent the company during annual audits.
In this role, you will support your team in establishing annual leakage targets across the asset base and for each delivery team, fostering compliance with regulatory targets.
Monitoring performance against these targets, you'll create contingency plans for extreme environmental situations, such as extended periods of drought or adverse weather conditions.
Collaborating closely with the asset management team, you'll contribute to defining the AMP8 delivery plan, focusing on mains renewal and smart networks.
Additionally, you will lead the water balance program within Southern Water.
We are seeking an individual with a robust background in developing inclusive strategies for network and leakage management.
Your responsibilities will include continuous review and adaptation of these strategies, incorporating new innovations, robust methodologies, industry best practices, and changes in business risk.
Adopting a proactive approach, you will work on the PALM model (Prevent, Aware, Locate, and Mend) Strategy, leading the development and implementation of associated policies and protocols through a collaborative framework with all stakeholders.
As a representative of Southern Water, you will participate in technical bodies associated with leakage management, advocating for the company's interests in relevant industry and national working groups.
This role is perfect for someone with expert knowledge in Leakage Management Strategy, coupled with significant experience in strategic and operational leakage control.
Essential qualifications include
Knowledge and experience in operating potable water systems,
Developing and implementing strategic plans, and the
Ability to achieve targets against challenging objectives and timelines.
Your expertise will be showcased in presentations at industry conferences, establishing you as the company's expert on leakage management and strategy.
Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Your proactive approach and strong leadership skills will be crucial in effectively communicating findings, presenting plans to the Board, and managing stakeholder expectations related to complex technical issues. Due to the nature of the role involving site visits, holding a full driving license is essential.
