Are you an experienced Estimator who is looking for the next step in their career?

This is a great opportunity to join an established contractor who have an excellent reputation for delivering quality projects across the North West. Their reputation has been built on quality and reliability and due to their growth, they are now looking for an Estimator to join their team in Lancashire.

They specialise in a variety of projects ranging in value from £1m - £30m and work across the commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, leisure and heritage sectors, working on both new build and refurbishment contracts.

The role - Estimator

As an Estimator you will be reporting into the Senior Estimator and ensuring that designated project costs are correctly calculated and meet all the financial and regulatory guidelines in accordance with company procedures and core values.

Duties will include (But not limited to):

• Meet the estimating requirements of the designated projects.
• Close liaison with the contracts management to ensure that the project meets all financial and regulatory requirements
• Presentation of bids in line with data obtained from site
• Re-negotiation of pricing for equipment or materials where appropriate
• Ensure the sound financial accuracy of designated tenders
• Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Liaison with the Chief Estimator to discuss improvements to processes and procedures
• Mentoring and support for the Estimating team

Requirements for the role:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the estimating process
• Good construction knowledge
• HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant Qualifications.
