EYFS Level 3 Specialist Support Assistant

Location: Blackburn

Working Hours: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm

Salary Range: £11.85 - £12.50 per hour

Job Description:

As an EYFS Level 3 Specialist Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with ASD who are non-verbal and require personal care. Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing one-on-one support to pupils with ASD, ensuring their individual needs are met.

- Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene.

- Creating and implementing tailored learning strategies to support communication and engagement.

- Collaborating with teachers and therapists to develop and adapt lesson plans.

- Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

- Monitoring and documenting pupil progress and behavior.

- Providing emotional support and building rapport with pupils.

- Assisting with the integration of pupils into various school activities and routines.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

- Level 3 qualification in Specialist Support in Schools or equivalent.

- Experience working with pupils with ASD, especially those who are non-verbal.

- Knowledge of and experience in personal care procedures.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Safeguarding and First Aid training is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
