Job description
U-Educate are currently looking for a recent Maths graduate looking to start their career within the education sector. The successful applicant will be delivering pre-planned lessons to classes of secondary aged pupils, specifically covering mathematics. This role is ideal for anyone considering taking on a PGCE or other Teacher Training routes and is a great way to experience the classroom first-hand before committing to your chosen training route.
The role is to cover lessons of students within the KS3 and KS4 bracket. Your main responsibility will be to manage the behaviour of the class and deliver the pre-set work. It is easy for students to become easily distracted when their continuity is broken, and the regular teacher is not in. Therefore, it is your responsibility to retain the student’s attention while keeping them task focused and maintaining their enthusiasm and enjoyment.
U-Educate are looking for someone who wants to gain experience in schools and can specialise in a core subject (Maths, English, Science or general cover)
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and organised individual with excellent communication skills and a good level of education.
