Job description
Role: Group Accountant
Pay: £350 - £450/day
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Thame (hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Length of contract: 4-6 months
Responsibilities:
- Preparing month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly Bond statements with commentary and analytical review of prior-year variances.
- Assisting in the preparation of the draft annual statutory accounts for review by the Group Reporting Manager, preparing year end audit schedules and liaising with external auditors.
- Support the Management Accounting team with month-end activities Corporation and other taxes.
- Support with tax deliverables of the team (including for example providing third party tax advisors with supporting information to enable the company corporation tax returns to be submitted on time, preparation of the PropCo quarterly VAT returns and supporting on CIS returns).
- Support the implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements post completion of the property acquisitions and new entity structure.
- Work with the property finance team, the Property team and the third party tax advisors to ensure compliance with the tax requirements for the new JPUT structures.
- Implementation of appropriate asset management policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 3 years post-qualification.
- Consolidation experience.
- IFRS16 experience desirable.
- Acquisitions experience desirable.
