Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to work for a nationally recognised parcel/mail delivery service, considered to be the leader in its field of deliveries. £16.58 per hour pay rate, rising to £17.19 if asked to complete a Sunday shift.
Royal Mail are currently seeking additional support in one of their London Delivery Offices, based on Farringdon Road. There are 2 positions available here for motivated and hardworking individuals to carry out mail collection, driving between client locations before sorting the mail in the office. Good knowledge of Central London roads is ideal to succeed in this role.
*As a result, this position is only suitable for those with a Full UK Manual Driving License, as well as requiring a degree of physical fitness to sufficiently lift and carry loads*
Main Duties:
Primarily a driving position, spending up to 4 hours of each 5-hour shift on the road.
Collecting deliveries from both indoor companies – including Post Office locations and independent business locations – and outside post-boxes, requiring manual lifting.
Sorting and processing mail collected when back in the Delivery Office.
Customer-facing skills necessary when speaking with clients.
Shifts Patterns (Must be flexible with your hours):
14:30 – 19:30, Monday – Friday – 25 hours.
Minimum 4-week contract length – potential to increase.
Pay:
Mon – Sat: £16.58 per hour.
Sun: £17.19 per hour.
Paid weekly.
