OFG will support therapy assistants to embark on the SaLT/OT apprenticeship after the successful completion of your probationary period. Travel to and from university and any placements is covered by OFG and you will be supported to meet your university requirements while in post.

Job Title: Therapies Assistant
Location: The Grange Therapeutic School, East Midlands
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm
Contract: Permanent (52 weeks)
Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required

About The Role
The role will be based in a multi-disciplinary clinical and wellbeing team, including Psychotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals to support the children and young people within our Grange Therapeutic School based in the East Midlands.
You will form part of the clinical team within the school and will be working closely with our education teams who support our children and young people, as well as the families of those people. You will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessments and interventions under the supervision of qualified Clinicians to better understand and support our needs and to support them to engage in meaningful activities and interactions. You will be instrumental in contributing to placement plans and delivering a range of interventions.
Who we are looking for.
We are looking for a Therapies Assistant who has experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as other complex needs. We are looking for someone who is independently motivated whilst working under the supervision of a qualified practitioner. Someone who enjoys working creatively to develop bespoke interventions to meet the specific needs of our most complex children and young people and has a dynamic approach to problem solving will be perfect for this role.
We are looking for enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills.
