OOH/ Night Vet - West Midlands
- Salary from £63,000 DOE pro rata
- Working 7 days on, 14 off
- 13.5 hour shifts (6:45pm - 8:15am)

An excellent opportunity for an after-hours Vet Surgeon to join a progressive and collaborative team in the Birmingham area has arisen!

Purovets are working with a primary care, multi-site small animal practice with branches across the West Midlands. They provide 24-hour emergency service at the main hospital site, which is well-equipped to deal with a large range of operations from routine neutering to exploratory laparotomies. The 24-hour site allows exceptional patient care and case continuity, enabled by their internal lab with great testing scope (cortisol, bile acids, blood gases, ionised calcium, in house culture and sensitive testing etc).
Reporting to the Head Vet, you will work from the main 24 hour Hospital. You will practice high standards of service for clients through examination, medical and surgical treatment. You will provide ongoing support in the provision of excellent patient services, assist in the efficient running of the practice and ensure all communication and clinical protocols are delivered and maintained. There are bedrooms for resting for each overnight staff member.
You will be working with a team of 15 Vets, 30 nursing and 10 admin associates supported by 2 Clinical Directors, 2 Head Vets, a Clinical Nursing Manager and Practice Manager. They fully encourage further studies with 4 of our Vets currently studying towards a certificate - including surgery, internal medicine and exotics. They would very much welcome applicants with an ECC background or certificate.
