We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Neuro-Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our band 6 rotations within the well-established and dynamic Neurosciences department at the Royal Free Hospital, London. The 9 month rotations enable further skill development and expertise in the assessment, rehabilitation and management of complex neurological conditions across the patient pathway, including critical care, acute stroke and neurology, inpatient neurorehabilitation and the community. Our 46 bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) includes a cohort of patients with highly complex neurological presentations and an ICU OT competency-based programme has been developed and presented at conference. Our acute stroke unit has consistently excellent SSNAP ratings, and a number of therapy driven service development projects commenced in order to meet the new guidelines. The well-regarded Neurological Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) provides specialist level 2 inpatient neurorehabilitation, based at Edgware Community Hospital with access to a therapy garden, kitchen, and specialist robotic upper limb equipment. The community Neurological Conditions Management Team provides exposure to acute, chronic, long-term, and rare neurological conditions, within a community setting. .
