Job description
Field Service Engineer / Service & Calibration Engineer / Service Technician required to join leading manufacturer of CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and precision measuring machines.
The Field Service Engineer / Service & Calibration Engineer will be home based covering Ireland but predominantly around the Cork and Limerick area.
The successful Field Service Engineer will come from a mechanical or electromechanical background having completed a recent apprenticeship, or field service / maintenance experience. Full product training will be provided.

Role Installation of precision measuring machines, mainly CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) Covers installation, service, repair, and calibration
Undertake trouble shooting including fault-finding, diagnosis, and rectification of faults
Liaise with customers and various engineering departments
Electromechanical servicing of CMMs and installing, updating and using operating software
Carry out customer visits for scheduled service, calibration, repair and installation of CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
Home based covering Ireland, predominantly Cork and Limerick area
Give technical advice / guidance and assistance to customers
Overnight stays when needed depending on where the customers are based
Requirements Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Calibration Engineer / CMM Engineer / Installation Engineer or a similar service / calibration role
A technical / engineering qualification in engineering or engineering apprenticeship beneficial
Mechanical or electromechanical service background beneficial
Willingness to travel – Based in Ireland, frequent travel to Cork / Limerick
