Religious Education Teachers in Northamptonshire
Are you passionate about teaching Religious Education and guiding students in exploring different belief systems and values? We have an exciting opportunities for dedicated Religious Education teacher to join Tick Education and work at reputable schools in Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons that foster students' understanding of diverse religious traditions, ethics, and philosophical concepts.
Encourage open-mindedness, respect, and tolerance among students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Facilitate discussions and debates on moral and ethical issues, encouraging critical thinking and reflection.
Teach students about the major world religions, their beliefs, practices, and cultural influences.
Organize and oversee visits to religious sites, guest speaker sessions, and other experiential learning activities.
Assess students' understanding and progress through assignments, projects, and exams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Previous experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level.
Comprehensive knowledge of major world religions, philosophical concepts, and ethical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students in meaningful discussions.
Ability to create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their beliefs and opinions.
