Responsibilities:
As a Community & Schools Team Officer, you will be seen as a role model within our member schools and the community, promoting lifelong habits regarding healthiness, happiness and physical activity. You will support the delivery of PE and School Sport, offering a range of extra-curricular clubs and activities as well as supporting the charity’s community provisions.
Your time will be spent between our Grantham-based office and schools across South Kesteven and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will show a passion for sport, coaching and working with children. Individuals will need to be energetic, inspiring and committed.
This opportunity will develop knowledge, understanding and behaviours around PE, Sport and Wellbeing in schools. The opportunity offers a wide range of experience such as understanding safe coaching practices, participant and student needs, planning / delivering / evaluating sessions, and organising sport / community projects.

As a Community & Schools Team Officer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering various programs within our member primary and secondary schools. You will assist colleagues to ensure each programme is periodically reviewed to ensure they are supporting local, regional and national priorities around physical activity, healthy lifestyles and mental well-being.
You will be an excellent team player committed to supporting colleagues in projects and initiatives ranging from our coveted annual Mini Olympics and festivals run by local School Games Organizers to mentoring pupils in schools and supporting holiday provisions. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
