Job description

Due to growth, our client is seeking a detail focused, confident and pro-active candidate to join their team as a Mechanical Design Engineer. We are seeking candidates who have at least 2 years’ experience within a design office and ideally a machinery or steel fabrication background.

This is a varied role working on various projects and whilst this is an office based role you will also have the opportunity to meet with customers at their sites.

• Design and produce drawings with bill of materials for projects.

• Engineering admin.

• Visiting clients where appropriate.

What we are looking for:

• 2 years experience in a Design office- preferably within rotating machinery and steel fabrication.
• A ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work flexibly to help colleagues.
• Work accurately to deadlines and under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good attention to detail.
• The ability to multi-task.
