We are one of the top-performing colleges in the country, situated in the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton & Hove. Working here offers the combination of both a wonderful place to work and a great city in which to live. Our students and staff are colourful, aspirational and hard-working – which is perhaps why 96% of employees would “recommend BHASVIC as a good place to work” and many of our students go on to Higher Education.

BHASVIC is seeking to appoint teachers of one or both subjects. Benefits: Join us and you can expect competitive pay and an excellent pension scheme, family-friendly working and a collaborative culture where ideas take flight together. Our Cycle to Work scheme, free counselling and occupational health service, discounted gym memberships and staff wellbeing events will keep you sharp, whilst our tailored induction programme and investment in your professional development – along with the possibility of funding for additional qualifications and to even take a sabbatical – will ensure an exciting future.

Hours and Contract: The hours available are a combination of Fixed-term and permanent contracts. Please let us know your preference for hours and working pattern in your cover letter. Please also state if you want to teach Psychology, Criminology, or are prepared to teach both. When applying for this vacancy you will be able to choose between Fixed-term, Permanent and Full time/Part time roles on the BHASVIC website.

Salary: The current full-time salary range for qualified teachers is £30,500 to £47,133 per annum (depending upon experience). This will be pro rata based on your FTE.

Closing date: 9.00am on Wednesday 13 March 2024.

Interview date: Thursday 21 March and Friday 22 March 2024.
