Job description
W&A is partnering with a fast-growing business based in Central Edinburgh to help source a Finance Manager for a 3 to 6 month contract.
This is a monthly reporting role to support with financial and management accounting, in a team of seven. The role will also work on process improvement projects and frequently liaise with the FP&A team.
The role is two days per week in the office and the remainder at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the timely preparation of group management accounts pack and providing detailed analysis of monthly performance
- Accurate WIP calculations
- Ensuring the correct level of revenue recognition for the varying projects
- Overseeing the team and day to day tasks
- Suggest and support implementation of policies, guidelines, internal processes and safeguards that ensure profitability and efficiency is maximized
- Liaise with the FP&A Team with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support the payroll process
- Review monthly and quarterly group VAT returns
- Managing the business cash flow
- Assistance with the preparation of statutory accounts and year end audit
- Continuing to develop growth of team members
Required Skills & Experience:
- Qualified accountant. Candidates who are qualified by experience and have a background of succeeding in a similar role are also welcome to apply
- Strong experience in a similar role
- Organised and commercially minded
- Collaborative, with good interpersonal skills, enjoys working as part of a team
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
