Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people's lives? If the answer is yes than our Fundraising and Events Manager job could be for you. The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our Income Generation team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse.

From our campaigns to our services- we strive to make a difference in everything we do. Within the Income Generation Directorate our aim is to maximise resources for the NSPCC's mission by raising funds, providing the best possible supporter experience, and building long-term relationships between donors and our cause. To continue to deliver our mission we rely on the support of people across the UK and Channel Islands - over 80% of our income comes from those who choose to give to us. We are looking to significantly grow our income in new and innovative ways. To achieve this growth, we need the very best teams in place to deliver to ambitious targets.

The NSPCC is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to develop, lead and manage an existing portfolio of fundraising events, initiatives and supporters in order to grow income. You will need to be results driven, have excellent communication and relationship building skills, enjoy mixing with a wide range of people, and have an ability to develop and maintain relationships with supporters and staff at all levels. Execution of events and activity need to be flawless, therefore attention to detail is paramount, as are the skills to help volunteers achieve success. The post holder will be a confident communicator, have exceptional IT and organisational skills, and ideally some event management and/or fundraising experience.

The NSPCC has a strong presence on Jersey with our services for children and young people running from The Gower centre in St.Helier. The Fundraising and Events Manager - Jersey will work closely across various disciplines of fundraising and service delivery, to ensure a collaborative and collegiate approach to income generation in order to maximise opportunities for all. Your role will directly finance some of the most exciting and essential child protection services in the Channel Islands by building positive relationships between existing supporters and the NSPCC to maximise opportunities as well as develop and drive significant new business.

To develop more long-term sustainable support and relationships in Jersey, this role will focus on the recruitment of new individual supporters and stewardship of existing supporters. The post holder will be responsible for the management of key events such as the already successful biennial NSPCC Jersey Ball (due to take place in June 2025), and through this event and others they will steward the relationship between the NSPCC and specific individual and corporate donors and new prospects. The role will also build high quality and enduring relationships between the NSPCC and those with the capacity to make transformational gifts, supporting high level individual donors capable of major gifts ranging from four to seven figures+.

As Fundraising and Events Manager Jersey, not only will the work you do make a real difference to people's lives but opportunity is provided to develop your fundraising experience. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. We want to ensure roles are accessible and inclusive of everyone, which is why the NSPCC offers a high degree of flexibility around ways of working.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is at the heart of what we do. At the NSPCC, we understand how important it is that our workforce is representative of the people we support and who support us. We believe that every individual has the right to be their true self and to live a full life without prejudice, fear or barriers. This is the starting point for all our commitments and actions and underpins our commitment to be there for all children

Based in Jersey, the post holder will be required to also travel to the mainland UK, attending meetings in UK regional offices. Whilst this post is Jersey based and will operate as part of a Jersey based team, it will report into the Supporter Fundraising Manager for the South West and Channel Islands (UK based) and form part of the NSPCC's Community Supporter team.

This position is open to candidates with transferable experience outside of fundraising. If you would like an informal conversation regarding this role please contact Henry Street, Supporter Fundraising Manager on 0292 1671573 or email henry.street@nspcc.org.uk
