Job description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join this growing streaming business as it looks to further develop its DevOps capability.

This is an exciting time for this growing technology business as they continue to invest in the development of their infrastructure, you’ll be joining a team of DevOps Engineers, taking a key role in the build and maintenance of a hybrid CDN infrastructure.

This position is being offered on a hybrid basis with visits to the London office 1-2 times a month.

Although an established business, it retains a startup feel, giving it’s team the opportunity influence the technical direction of the business through applying creative thinking. A collaborative working environment, you will be working closely with the software engineering teams to ensure that the systems are resilient and perform at scale.

This role requires a balanced DevOps skill set, including as many of the following as possible:

– Track record of working as a DevOps Engineer, within streaming or other high availability service.

– Understanding of software engineering techniques and principles and experience with either Ruby or GoLang.

– Ideally experience of CDN.

– Experience in automating CI processes (Jenkins).

– Understanding of how to provision servers using Chef.

– Strong background in Linux, TCP/IP, Nginx and Apache.

You’ll be a proactive problem solver who is excited by taking on scenarios new to you. Unconcerned with ambiguity, you cut through the noise to identify the route cause of issues.
