Job description

Trinity Academy Grammar

Principal

Leadership L28 - L34  (£91,633 - £106,138)

Trinity Academy Grammar is an ambitious and inclusive 11-16 school that, for the first time in the school’s history, is over-subscribed from September 2023.  At the start of the new academic year, we will have over 1,000 students on roll; having grown this number from 650 when we first started since becoming part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust.  As our school grows so do we, and we are now seeking to appoint an exceptional Principal to be part of that growth and to strategically lead Trinity Academy Grammar.

Following a period of support from Trinity MAT, the school formally joined the trust in 2018.  There have since been significant improvements in outcomes, meaning the academy can now be recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country.  Aspirations and ambitions are high; however, the school is determined not to rest on its laurels and is continually striving for ways to better serve the students.

The school is committed to providing an outstanding education for its students and is guided by the core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, which permeate every aspect of school life.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a high-performing individual with the strategic vision to further raise standards of student attainment and achievement across the academy.

Trinity MAT is a high performing and successful cross-phase trust.  The trust also collaborates extensively with schools across the country through the Trinity Institute of Education,  West Yorkshire Maths Hub and White Rose Maths initiatives.  Each of the trusts’ secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of our professional development and you will receive excellent support from the Executive Principal and other MAT colleagues.  Our ambitions are high but the support to the academy from the trust match this.  You will be working closely with an Executive Principal who is an experienced school leader.  Alongside this you will have the full support of our world class central support team.  This includes support from dedicated IT, HR, Finance and Compliance teams who are at the end of the phone whenever the need arises.

If you are a leader with the vision to drive the strategic direction and develop of the academy on the journey to outstanding, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in the Trinity Academy Grammar story.  You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust.  The successful candidate must be passionate about improving students’ life chances through the provision of the highest quality of education and committed to achieving excellent results for the students.  You must have a strong work ethic, high expectations of yourself and others and have the ability to lead staff and students in realising those expectations.

If you would like a conversation about this position or to visit the school please speak to Charlie Johnson (Executive Principal) via his PA Kylie Ball [email protected] on 01422 831011 .
