Job description

We are looking to recruit a skilled Financial Accountant to join the RVC Financial Accounts Team. You will be responsible for supporting the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Accounting, to whom this role reports, in planning for, and delivering, the RVC Group’s annual statutory accounts and those of its subsidiary companies and registered charity. You will lead in the preparation process for US GAAP accounts as well as support preparation, delivery and prompt filing of annual regulatory filings and corporation tax returns. The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified, have experience of working in or with a complex not-for-profit organisation, using computerised accounting systems. Experience of preparing financial statements, dealing with auditors, and undertaking account reconciliations is essential. An understanding of tax regulations, particularly corporation tax and VAT, is also desirable. A pro-active approach and a strong customer focus are necessary attributes, combined with a commitment to continual improvement, excellent communication skills in person and writing, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
