Job Title: Interim UK Payroll Manager
Location: Chiswick, London – Hybrid working, averaging 2 days per week in the office
About the role:
We are hiring for an Interim UK Payroll Manager to join us on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
As Payroll Manager for our UK region, you will lead on defining, developing and delivering payroll strategy to maximise cost effectiveness, aligned with business needs, comply with legal requirements, and to reflect current best practice .
You will also be there to ultimately be responsible for the delivery of an accurate and timely UK payroll, including compliance with all legislative and statutory requirements .
As the Payroll Manager, you will also be motivating, training and developing our team of 2 UK Payroll Advisors to ensure they advance in their careers, and so that monthly payroll is delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure statutory payments are made on-time to HMRC including monthly PAYE and annual P11d and PSA payments, and that pension payments are made monthly .
Manage the relationship with HMRC and ensure the Company’s compliance with statutory requirements.
Ensure the HR system/Resourcelink interface and other required interfaces from HR system into Resourcelink remain operational in liaison with Group HR Systems Manager and the relevant HR and IT teams .
Act as the Payroll Subject Matter Expert for the business. This includes ensuring that legislation knowledge is kept up to date.
Maintenance and management of 7 separate monthly payroll provisions. Responsibility for 5 PAYE References – all regulatory requirements to be met.

To be successful in the role, you will have
Full operational end-to-end UK Payroll experience.
Management of payroll team.
A good understanding of accounting processes particularly balance sheet reconciliations.
Able to participate in and lead working groups to resolve process and legislative compliance issues.
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, influencing, facilitation & stakeholder management skills across all levels of management.
Up to date knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation.
