Clinical Optometrist – Private Hospital
Gateshead, County Durham
Up to £52,500 per annum
Part-time Role – Permanent Contract
09:00 – 17:00 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week)
Compass Associates are proud to be working with one of the largest leading national Ophthalmology Care organisations in their pursuit of a Clinical Optometrist to join them on a part time permanent basis in Gateshead.
As a GOC Registered Optometrist, you will be responsible for seeing between 23 – 25 patients per clinic day, assessing and counselling patients for cataract surgery. You will ensure patients understand risks and benefits of surgery with a considerate manner reflecting the patients needs. You will ensure post-operative management is undertaken with the support of medical staff.
Requirements
– GOC Registered Optometrist
– 12 months post-registration experience
– Motivated to develop with a keen interest in the clinical side of optometry
– Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
– Understanding of clinical governance and ability to provide the highest quality of care to all patients
