Roc Search have partnered with a well known company within the Health domain. They are looking for a Technical Architect to join the team and work closely with the Lead Software Engineer to design a range of systems. you could be a former Developer looking for that next step in your career or an experienced Architect looking for a change with a well-established company.
This Technical Architect role includes a hands-on engineering component: be prepared to roll your sleeves up! You will be bringing the vast breadth and depth of your experience with web, cloud and data technologies to bear on many interesting challenges, helping the company to complete their transition to an industry leading, fully cloudnative, always-available architecture. You will liaise across Product, Engineering, Platform and Site Reliability teams, to maintain our platform and applications roadmap. You will ensure that the design of new services and features is optimal in the context of their tech ecosystem, considering various functional and non-functional attributes, such as performance, availability, observability, security and cost. You will maintain a strategic vision, ensuring that a fast-paced development cycle converges on your preferred target architecture. You will become The company`s subject matter expert on architectural best practice in the Digital and Cloud Engineering spaces. You combine the ability to strongly advocate for the leading edge in tools and practices with a pragmatic approach to legacy systems.
You could be a Senior Cloud Engineer or Senior Software Engineer with Cloud experience looking to take a next step in your career
Essential skills;
Technical Architecture
* UML or a similar framework (sequence, use case, activity diagrams)
* Cloud Architectural Patterns (like SOA, CQRS, BFF)
* Software design patterns and practices
* API-based interaction design
* Event-driven Architectures
* API design, Including RESTful and Graph APIs
* Familiar with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or FEAF
* Familiar with modern software engineering methodologies and the digital product lifecycle
* DevSecOps best tools and practices
* Regulatory and industry standards like PCI DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP, ISO 9000 range
Technology
* Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure
* Kubernetes and containerisation patterns
* SQL Server, Redis, Cosmos DB or other Document DBs
* Service Bus and distributed messaging architectures
* APM tools and practices, including Azure Monitor
* Recent experience with programming and scripting languages (which might include C#, JavaScript/TS, bash, powershell or python)
* Node, React and node-based SSR tools like Next.js
* Modern web application development practices
Desirable skills
* Azure API Management
* Virtual Network architectures
* K8s security features (SecurityContext, network policies)
* KQL
* SIEM systems such as Sentinel
* Cloudflare
* A/B and MVT Testing
* GitOps approach and DevOps workflow automation
* BDD, ATDD, TDD
* CRM, CMS and ERP Systems
* Data Analytics
