Responsibilities:

• Anesthetic Administration: Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.
• Patient Assessment: Conduct preoperative assessments, obtaining relevant medical histories and collaborating with the surgical team to develop individualized anesthetic plans.
• Equipment Management: Competently handle and manage anesthetic equipment, ensuring proper functioning, maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care during surgical interventions.
• Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergencies and complications related to anesthesia, demonstrating proficiency in resuscitation techniques.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthetic procedures, patient assessments, and postoperative care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

• Registered Anesthetic Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC registration.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as an Anesthetic ODP in a hospital setting.
• Proficient in administering various types of anesthesia for different surgical specialties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure perioperative environment.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
• Flexibility to work in ad hoc and long-term positions
