Nova Hreod Academy
Location
Swindon | United Kingdom
Job description
Nova Hreod is a Secondary Academy serving local communities in and around north west Swindon. It is a thriving 11-16 secondary school with almost 1,000 pupils on roll and is the school of choice for many families in the area. The academy’s sports, technologies and performing arts facilities are modern, well equipped and provide fantastic opportunities for talented and creative students in all manner of activities, both within the curriculum and beyond.
Staff at the academy are dedicated to the school, they work incredibly hard and want the best for their students. Nova Hreod Academy is brimming with potential. However, despite these strengths, the last couple of years have been more challenging with pupil attendance and achievement a particular focus. We expect the successful candidate to have an immediate impact on the culture of the school, and for student attendance and outcomes to improve significantly and quickly. We will support the successful candidate in ensuring the very highest academic standards, where exemplary behaviour allows teachers and pupils to focus on the core business of teaching and learning.
If you are a Principal or outstanding Deputy who believes that children and young people can achieve extraordinary things and will build a team and a school to make it a reality, we will be excited to read your application. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, we will support you both personally and professionally, bringing the strength of a national group to support your development and that of your staff and school, ensuring you have access to educational expertise, specialist finance, HR and technology business partners.
United Learning is deeply committed to the progress, success and safeguarding of all children and young people. We believe in serving local communities through creating excellent schools which provide outstanding education and support all the children of the area. Our Principals are central not only to the leadership of their school but also to the collective leadership of the Group. As a Group, we aim to offer more by working together than any single school could on its own: we aim to support and develop leaders, provide excellent professional development for all staff and offer broader experiences for children and young people.
We are an inclusive employer and looking to improve the diversity of our leadership, particularly in relation to black, Asian and minority ethnic leadership, and we welcome and value all applicants.
We are working in partnership with Propelo to recruit for this vacancy. If you wish to arrange to visit the school or require any further information please visit:
